It is no secret that children’s animated features and popular film dynasties dominate the international box office.  A modern Hollywood trend has emerged and movie production companies do not want their blockbusters to gain an R rating.  A film that is rated R will immediately lose millions of adolescent viewers.  As an adult, I always enjoy a good blockbuster adult film that is not intended for kids.  I have collected a list of the Top 10 most successful films at the world box office that are rated R.       

Everyone wants to become rich in thier lifetime.  Many people scour thrift stores in hopes of finding a fortune, while others take the archeologist’s approach and search underground sites and the oceans.  Occasionally, a rare and valuable artifact will be discovered.  Discovering ancient treasure or valuables can be thrilling, especially if you profit from the find.  The amount of buried treasure on earth is abundant, but much of it lies on desolate land and in the deep sea.  This list will be examining some of the most infamous and interesting treasure stories, documenting surprise discoveries and treasure troves.  

It is always interesting to learn about the world’s billionaires.  Many of these individuals control more assets then many small nations.  A couple people on the list have gained a large portion of their wealth from family fortune, but the majority of the entries are self made billionaires.  On March 11, 2009 Forbes magazine comprised a list of the wealthiest people in the world.    

A sideshow is a secondary production associated with a circus, carnival, or fair.  In the middle of the 19th century a variety of different traveling circuses and freak shows began to gain popularity.  The main goal of these shows was to shock and entertain the masses.  During this era, vaudeville was a major theatrical genre.  Many strange acts became internationally famous. Promoters even enlisted bounty hunters to look for abnormal human conditions.  Here is a list of 10 of the most famous sideshows and peculiar performers.

In 1917, the first animated film was produced by Quirino Cristiani in Argentina.  It was titled The Apostle.  The first popular animated television series was created by Walt Disney and starred Mickey Mouse.  The Disney series was widely popular in the early 1930’s and was made into color in 1935.  Spin-off series were launched for supporting characters such as Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto.  The first widely popular Disney animated feature films were Fantasia and Pinocchio, which were released in 1940.  Since that time hundreds of wonderful animated films and television series have been released.   

The world is full of beautiful people.  In order to achieve international celebrity an individual needs to have personality, but also unique physical features that attract the masses.  It could be an intriguing set of eyes, legs, an inviting smile, voice, or an unbelievable body.  I have decided to create a list of the Top 10 sexiest celebrity body parts in 2009.  Be sure to let me know of some omissions that stand out to you.
 

I will be discussing the history of some of the most magnificent castles in the world.  These structures are so intriguing because as you enter the walls you can feel the incredible history of each building.  It is almost as if they are living and breathing creatures with every architectural feature whispering a different message.  Traveling to the times of the Middle Ages is intriguing because it was so different from modern times. 

Christmas is an annual holiday that is celebrated on December 25.  Christmas Day is a Christian holiday, but is widely celebrated by many non-Christians. Popular modern customs include gift-giving, music, an exchange of greeting cards, church celebrations, a special meal, and the display of various decorations, including Christmas trees, lights, garlands, mistletoe, nativity scenes, and holly.  I have collected some interesting facts surrounding the origins of Christmas.    

It can be interesting to learn facts surrounding the lives of celebrities, sports figures, and
famous film stars.  This list will discuss some celebrity stories and events that you
might not have heard.  The topics range from Michael Jordan to Johnny Cash, Tim Allen
and Tim Donaghy.  We will also take a look at the classic films Halloween and Taxi
Driver.     

A phobia is an irrational, intense, persistent fear of certain situations, activities, things, or people.  According to the American Psychological Association, phobias are one of the most common mental disorders, affecting over 11% of men and women in the world.  As opposed to general fears, phobias are a persistent fear that becomes excessive or unreasonable.  They can extremely diminish an individual’s social, economic, and personal life.  Phobias are the most common form of anxiety disorders.  There are thousands of different bizarre and unusual disorders in the world.  

An Internet meme is a catch phrase or concept that spreads quickly from person to person through computer networking.  While I feel that certain memes are just erroneous and can be quite annoying at times.  Some of these videos are pretty funny and entertaining.  You have to be a creative personality to develop some of these ideas.  I have developed a list with some of my favorite internet videos that have become extremely popular on many social networking sites.  I am always on the look out for funny and amazing videos, so be sure to let me know of some omissions.

Jim Carrey is a Canadian stand-up comedian and prominent Hollywood actor.  In the early 1980’s Jim Carrey began to make a name in the comedy world.  He was known for his hilarious celebrity impressions and wild antics.  Carrey was noticed by comedian Rodney Dangerfield, who signed the young comedian to open on his tour performances.  He was passed up for Saturday Night Live, but gained a friendship with Keenen Ivory Wayans who was in the process of creating a sketch comedy show for Fox called In Living Color.  I have collected 10 hilarious Jim Carrey comedy sketches and performances.       

The origins of Halloween can be traced to the ancient Gaelic festival known as Samhain, which is derived from Old Irish dialect.  It falls on October 31 and is often viewed as an international celebration of the dead.  It is an intriguing day and is celebrated differently all over the world.  This collection will be leading off my series of lists examining the undead, ghosts, the unexplained, and certain events surrounding Halloween.  Here are some influential historical events that occurred on Halloween. 

Learning about the real life experiences of some of our favorite celebrities can be interesting, especially when they are war heroes.  There is no doubt that being involved in a military conflict and experiencing wartime events can change your life. I have collected a list of some of the most decorated war heroes and military men that were also international celebrities.  Most of the individuals reached stardom after their war service, but not all.  As you would expect, many of these people were born in the early 1920’s or late 1890’s.          

Quality cinema has been steadily declining in recent decades and many films have poorly developed stories.  Predictably, many of these movies are sequels that don’t match up with the original, but have gained mass popularity.  I have compiled a list of some of the worst Hollywood pictures that have made the most money at the box office.  Many of the entries had advertising luck, a huge campaign, or were a franchise film.  They are categorized by the lowest quality film and not money earned.   

Nobody can say for sure what causes a person to kill.  It could be a hereditary mental instability, ideals learned at a young age, or just situational experiences.  Some of the most deadly killers in history were mob enforcers and some military men, but most were psychopathic serial or spree murderers.  The most heinous crime an individual can commit is taking the life of another.  Most murders are based around revenge, money, and deception, but a serial killer is a different type of beast.  There are countless horrible killing sprees in modern history, which made it difficult to select only ten cases.         

There are millions of identified species inhabiting the great planet of earth.  Evolutionary traits have given each individual organism a purpose and method for survival.  Different animal species thrive in different habitats and they adapt based on the geography, population, and climate of the region. Lately, different animal populations have become threatened by weather changes, disease, human hunting, and poaching.  I love to look at pictures and learn about various creatures in this world.  I have gathered some of my favorite pictures of animals and included a short description of each.

Dave Chappelle is an American actor, producer, and comedian.  He was born in Washington D.C. in 1973.  Dave is one of the most well known and skilled stand-up performers today.  His career began to take off with the release of the 1998 comedy Half Baked.  In 2003, Dave landed the Chappelle's Show, which aired on Comedy Central for only one year.  Chappelle’s Show spawned some of the funniest comedy material ever invented.  Dave’s in your face style appealed to the masses.  I have collected some of the best Dave Chappelle moments.
